I am doing the scrappy dance...

LOL! No really, I have had a hard time actually sitting and scrapping. Well, I was crusing through the forums of Scrap Attack and found a sketch challenge and decided that's what I needed to get my mojo going. Also, someone recently posed the question of what have you bought and haven't used? My answer was lots of stuff...loL! So last night I sat down with sketches and rummaged through my horde and found all this Sassafrass Lass Serendipity stuff that I had not cut into. I gathered my four patterned papers, some craft cardstock, and my sketches and ran with it. I completed 4 layouts and 4 cards! Seriously!

I know that some of the pages look wonky, but I took pics this time and when I cropped them they look crooked. It is because I didn't get a straight on shot of the layout, but I am learning and maybe by this time next year, I'll be able to get it to look right...lol!

For those of you that are keeping up with my art, I painted some more yesterday. I changed a bunch of the colors and worked really hard at blending, but it still looks very boxy. UGH! I am very frustrated at this point. I will paint a little more today to fill in a few spots that I know exactly what I want to do, but then I think I will have to just live with it until I can figure out what to do. Next week, we are starting a new painting which will help because then I can switch between paintings when it gets frustrating. Our assignment next week is going to be fun! We have to pick and artist (that works in oil painting) and study them. Then we have to paint something like they would. We are not copying what they did...we have to come up with our own idea, but we paint it in their style OR using one of their techniques. I am scratching my head to figure out what I want to do. I really love abstract, geometric stuff, but then again the impressionist stuff is beautiful, and will drive me absolutely crazy! I will probably go with one of the impressionists and make it hard on myself because I will have the teacher there to help if I get stuck and I won't have that once the class is over....ahhh! Well, here is the update of the painting for now....

Now I need to get off of the computer and actually get something done!

Your cards and LO's look great! Sassafrass Lass is always such a fun playful line. I didn't even notice that the pictures looked "wonky", you did a great job with your editing-I'm still learning too. Ugh, and I'm so jealous that I can't paint, it looks like so much fun-awesome painting so far:)
