101 things about me...

I found this on my friends blog and I have enjoyed reading all the interesting things about my friends...so I decided to do one too! I hope I don't bore you too much...lol!

1. I am the daughter of 2 very smart people- one has a master's degree, the other a 4 yr bachelor's degree- I will eventually earn my PhD (in something) :)
2. I am a Music Teacher (undergrad degree) and Librarian (what I am getting my master's degree in) and I LOVE my job.
3. I can play SEVERAL instruments; however I am not a virtuoso on anything, and I never learned to play the guitar *sigh*
4. I passed a piano proficiency, but wish I was better- guess that means I need to practice.
5. My main instrument from middle school through high school was the trumpet. In college I played the French Horn and was surprisingly good at it..it is my favorite!
6. I was a pre-med major in college, but switched to music. However, I can still go to med school. I just need to take a couple of classes and the MCAT.
7. I love learning and would love nothing more than to become a professional student.
8. School was always very easy for me *knock on wood* I never had a hard time-even in college.
9. I am smart but methodical - I don't do things fast....I do them correctly.
10. I think I want to do my PhD in research, geneology, history, or something along those lines- since my family is from England and Ireland I think it would be perfect to study abroad for a few months.
11. I love working on my family's geneology and have afound TONS of great information!
12. I have a very "family" oriented family. We are always connected and very close. with all the dysfunctional families out there I am glad mine isn't too over the top and that we are so close.
13. We have a HUGE family reunion every year (my grandmother's family)...there are literally hundreds of people that attend. It is so fun that we have a couple of friends that go with us and have been "adopted" into our family!
14. I love the outdoors- camping, hiking, canoeing, all of it!
15. I hate my allergies and some bugs - blech!
16. I love accents! I always dreamed I would marry a man with an Irish, Scottish, or English accent (as those are my favorites) :) Of course, he would have to love my crazy southern accent :)
17. I love to travel and got that "bug" from my parents. We went on long vacations when I was little. I have seen numerous things on these trips and savor all the memories.
18. I have visited 49 states (haven't been to Alaska...yet), Canada, and Mexico.
19. I enjoy making people laugh and was not surprised to receive the senior superlative of class clown :)
20. I *heart* movies...I watch a lot of the popular ones, but I even like the ones that most people haven't heard of.
21. I love to read...my favorite part is getting lost in the story and enjoying the characters lives.
22. I am originally from Nashville. Then we moved to Rutherford county which is just outside Nashville. Now I live in Knoxville, but wish every day that I could live in Nashville again.
23. I don't watch a lot of tv, but I do like: Project Runway, Ghost Hunters, Grey's Anatomy, and House!
24. I don't usually just sit and watch tv - I am always doing something!
25. I am a clean freak! I can't stand to have a dirty house...ewwww!
26. I have a very methodical and organized way of cleaning so that it is not overwhelming!
27. I organize everything and everything has to have a "home"
28. I don't like stuff. If I don't need it...I get rid of it!
29. I am a Southerner and proud of it!
30. My accent has gotten worse since moving to East Tennessee.
31. I love the heat. The hotter the better. I get cold so easily that I would much rather be hot!
32. I like it to be cool in the room I sleep in so I can snuggle down in the covers without getting hot.
33. I don't like carbonated beverages: coke, sparkling water, beer, etc. I just don't like it!
34. I mostly drink water, but love sweet tea, pom tea, juice, and 1% milk.
35. Whole milk is gross....to me!
36. I could live on garden veggies...yumm-0!
37. Oh! I do like coke with popcorn at the movie, but only at the movie.
38. Chichen Itza is the hottest place I have ever been.
39. I love the ocean....the sound, the smell, the feel, well everything!
40. I would vacation to the beach two times a year if I could!
41. I am pale and VERY fair skinned so I have to wear TONS of sunscreen. I don't tan either....I do however A) freckle or B)burn and peel.
42. I am okay with being pale.
43. I have blue eyse and I love them- sometimes they are deep blue, sometimes gray, sometimes pale blue, but they are always noticeable...they are probably my best feature.
44. I was born with red hair and still have shades of it in my hair. My son was born with red hair and if I have another child with a fair haired person the child will probably stay red headed....ahh...
45. I have very thick and very straight hair, but I love it!
46. I wish I was as pretty on the outside as I feel I am on the inside.
47. I am only 5'3 1/2" - yep, I am short!
48. Most of the people in my family are tall - even the women, but I am short!
49. I have always wanted a tattoo, but can't figure out what I would want to live with the rest of my life.
50. I am very picky about clothes. I only buy things I love so a normal shopping trip for me involves 0-1 purchase.
51. I HATE clothes shopping more than anything in the world! It makes me feel deformed!
52. My parents think my anemia has come back - I hate taking iron.
53. I feel like I am saying the word HATE a lot, but I don't like it. I am a genuinely optomistic person. I ALWAYS see the glass as half full.
54. I argued with my entire junior English class because I vehemently fought and believe that ALL people are inherently good. I believe that there is good in EVERYONE...we may not see it, but it is there. What kind of place this world would be if you believed people were evil. I believe people do evil things, but I don't believe they are completely evil!
55. I make friends easily. I love to meet new people!
56. I dance like no one is watching. I don't care who sees me as long as I am enjoying myself :)
57. That being said I love to sing. I even sing out loud anywhere. I love to crank up the music in my car and sing my heart out! I don't care if anyone sees me either :) I have also been known to add dance moves to my singing while driving. Yep! I am that person...lol!
58. I love a "wide" variety of music from early music to modern stuff. My latest guilty pleasure is ghetto rap (thanx Amber) and Indie Rock with piano and great vocals!
59. I love walking around barefoot and during the summer I usually go barefoot and only throw on flip flops if I have to wear shoes somewhere.
60. I am a good baker.
61. I have never been a good cook, but I am getting better.
62. I can cook some great southern comfort foods- maybe because of where I was raised.
63. I have a green thumb. I can grow almost anything - if I try.
64. Today is the day that they dropped the first atomic bomb in World War II in 1945 I only say this because we live near Oak Ridge which is where it was made. It is so weird living near the well-known nuclear plant, and all the rocket scientists.
65. My favorite color is green, but I love blue, too!
66. Heaven has to have Hershey's cookies and cream bars....ummmmmmm
67. I wish I could speak more than 1 language. I currently speak southern english...hehe!
68. I type pretty fast and text pretty slow!
69. I love beautiful names, but feel that mine is too plain.
70. I don't like talking on the phone. Don't know why...just don't.
71. I like working out and am hoping to tone up with all my weight loss. I don't wanna be body builder muscular, but I want good definition.
72. I love the smell of coffee, but don't drink it.
73. My favorite smells are: fresh baked muffins, pineapple and coconut, my white musk, Yankee candles scents (harvest, good morning, and mistletoe), anything with a fresh clean smell, and laundry washed and dryed with clean breeze cleaners and/or softners.
74. I love towels that come fresh and warm from the dryer *ahhh*
75. I love finding beauty in everyday things.
76. I love quotes. I don't use them a lot, but I love to read them.
77. I love to make up words to songs. I do this all the time!
78. If I could only clean one room in my house it would be the bathroom. If it isn't clean how can you be?
79. I am a giver. I love to give. It is wonderful to give things and see others smile.
80. My friends call me a hip Martha Stewart. I am nowhere near her perfection, but I am glad people think I have my stuff together.
81. I don't sleep much. I enjoy sleeping, but have had a hard time with it for a while...on the flip side I am getting lots done!
82. My biggest goal as a teacher is to have a positive affect on all my students! I hope they become life long learners!
83. Peaches are one of the best fruits ever....
84. The most ridiculous and hilarious things happen to me. I always have some sort of adventure that leads to embarrassing stories!
85. I don't drink often, but when I do I can hold my own...unless it involves shots of tequila...nuff said!
86. I think women don't get enough girls nights out. I know I definitely need more.
87. My favorite flower is the daisy.
88. The lily smells wonderful and is very elegant and beautiful...it is my second favorite flower.
89. I am not high maintenance.
90. I am fiercely independant.
91. I believe everyone has a true love....a soul mate though I don't know that everyone finds that person.
92. I am not afraid of the dark.
93. I love roller coasters.
94. My favorite thing to wear is jeans, tshirt, and flip flops.
95. I have a hard time saying no and tend to extend myself to the point of breaking.
96. I work well under stress.
97. I rarely cry, but have broken down a few times and felt much better afterwards.
98. I love the smell of a campfire and tend to sit by the fire as often as possible.
99. I am a complete and total clutz and trip over my own feet. I am hopeless. The kids at school find this trait hilarious.
100. I broke my nose and my butt bone because of previously stated trait.
101. I finished this just in time to watch Ghost Hunters (a new episode) with my son and to eat the chocolate chip cookies I just made. Just me and my little man :)
